Introduction to DataONTAP by way of any DataONTAP fundamentals webbased training course.

Learn about DataONTAP® 7G and the cutting-edge DataONTAP 8.0.x 7-Mode by exploring basic administration of a storage system running DataONTAP 7-Mode. By diving deeper into administrative techniques, you will acquire the knowledge to become a successful storage administrator.

> Course Objectives

By the end of this course you should be able to:

• Identify the different components that comprise a NetApp storage environment;

• Install and perform the setup configuration of DataONTAP 7-Mode;

• Perform basic administration on a storage system;

• Explain and configure physical and logical storage on a storage system;

• Identify and configure client protocols on a storage system;

• State virtualization techniques available in DataONTAP;

• Describe SnapShot™ copies and space consumption in DataONTAP;

• Discuss simple data back-up methods available in DataONTAP.
